Outrospection is a new word coined by the British cultural thinker Roman Krznaric a few years ago. For our purposes, it can be described as a discovery methodology to explore your requirements for a strategic-focused mindset and a leadership attitude.
This concept instantly appealed to us. It stood out from the usual management speak that most consultants indulge in, and triggered our thoughts and imagination as to how we might apply it as a method to help you and your company genuinely transform your ways of thinking and leading.
Outrospection helps us to empathise with you and understand the philosophy behind your company and your view of it; the people forming the team; and the strategic opportunities outside. Outrospection is complementary to Introspection. But, in our view of the world Introspection is out and Outrospection is in.
Outrospection is complementary to Introspection. But, in our view of the world Introspection is out and Outrospection is in. The world is changing quickly. We are part of this global shift.
We believe that Outrospection as a method can promote empathetic thinking and help develop your leadership skills, strengthen relationships and in doing so achieve better results.
It also supplements prospection and retrospection. And, yes, you are right, Empathy is very different from Sympathy.
